LAHORE: Multan City Police Officer (CPO) Mansoorul Haq Rana has said a master plan has been prepared to upgrade 100 years old District Police Lines for the welfare of the police.

Under the plan, police barracks will be improved, new water filtration plant for clean drinking water will be installed, police mess food quality will be improved, state-of-the art cafeteria for constables, remodeling of entry gate system, improvements in quarter guard, addition of riding schools, new parking sheds and constructing new Yadgar-e-Shuhada.

Mr Rana said that Rs200 million will be spent to upgrade police lines to provide all types of facilities to police personnel at one place.

He said they were also establishing a hostel for female police personnel and a cafeteria where all policemen and officers could eat food.

Earlier, the CPO conducted the crime review meeting of the city at police lines and directed the officers to take measures to improve the situation.
