ISLAMABAD, Jan 25: Secretary Interior Syed Kamal Shah on Wednesday said no military operation was under-way in Bajaur Agency. Speaking to reporters at a workshop on human trafficking, he said: “No military operation is being launched in Bajaur Agency or anywhere in Balochistan.”

He said maintaining law and order in Kohlu and Dera Bugti was the responsibility of the Frontier Constabulary (FC), adding that the security forces had taken action against miscreants in specific areas of Kohlu.

In reply to a question about absconders’ camps in Balochistan, he said security forces attacked those camps, which were involved in targeting civilian and military population. “It is difficult to identify the Farari Camps, which do not expose themselves,” he added. He claimed that the life in Kohlu and Dera Bugti was normal.
