Published January 26, 2006

LAHORE, Jan 25: The City District Government Lahore has decided to ensure the availability of liquefied petroleum gas at the federal government rate of Rs390 per cylinder or Rs23 per kg by controlling its blackmarketing. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of representatives of LPG marketing companies, distributors and rickshaw driver unions held at the Jinnah Hall here on Wednesday with District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood in the chair.

The companies and distributors were directed to ensure display of prices at all the gas retail outlets for the information of buyers.

The CDGL would proceed against the retailers found overcharging and recommend cancellation of their licences.
