RAWALPINDI: An eight-member security team from Saudi Arabia’s General Aviation Civil Aviation (GACA) has arrived in Pakistan for a three-week visit.

The objective of the visit is to evaluate the security measures taken for direct flights from Pakistani airports to Saudi Arabia.

A spokesman for the CAA said that the high level Saudi delegation visited the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority Headquarters on Tuesday where it met director security Pakistan Civil Aviation.

During the talks, both sides reiterated their full commitments to strengthen ties and take mutual cooperation to a new level.

During the stay, the delegation, led by inspector Mohammed Alajmi, will also visit Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, Multan, Islamabad and Peshawar airports.

Director General CAA Khaqan Murtaz in his message welcomed the Saudi delegation. Full cooperation should be given to Saudi guests during visits to various airports, said the DG Civil Aviation.

“We are grateful to Pakistan Civil Aviation for the warm welcome,” the Saudi delegation spokesman said. This visit will be a milestone in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two civil aviation authorities, the head of the Saudi Aviation Security Delegation said. At the end of the meeting, gifts were exchanged from both sides.
