Vehari to get natural gas by July

VEHARI, Jan 25: The work on project to provide gas to the district has been started. MNA Aftab Khichi told journalists on Wednesday that over Rs900 million would be spent on the project which would be completed in July.

He said the gas pipeline would be linked from Mian Channu to Machiwal covering a distance of about 50 kilometres. The project would cost Rs372.65 million, he added.

The cost of gas pipelines project in Vehari city would be more than Rs523 million. More than one million people would benefit from the project, he maintained.

Mr Khichi said half of the cost of the project has been provided by the federal government.
