RAHIM YAR KHAN: The Pakistan Railways (PR) police arrested a man on Saturday for making and selling fake railway tickets in Khanpur.

According to a handout, Naveed Ahmed was arrested by SHO Railways Police Khanpur Malik Fayyaz.

A large number of ticket making tools, secondhand railway tickets and platform tickets were recovered from the suspect.

He used to sell the tickets to the passengers after tampering with the used tickets. The suspect confessed to being involved in the forgery for the last 10 months.

A total of 821 used railway tickets were also recovered from him besides Rs50,000 cash.

The suspect was arrested following a case registered with the Railway Police Station Khanpur on May 17.

According to the case, Ubaidur Rehman, who was traveling on a fake ticket, revealed that he had bought the ticket from Naveed, a resident of Multan.
