LAKKI MARWAT: Three persons of a family, including a minor, were electrocuted and three others injured when a cable of a transmission line fell on them in Kherukhel Pacca area of Lakki Marwat on Friday.

According to reports reaching here from the remote locality, the deceased belonged to a poor family. The injured were shifted to a local hospital.

The deceased included Razinama, her daughter Umra, 16, and her son, Ahmadullah, 6.

The injured were Razinama’s son Safeerullah, her daughter Kalsoom Bibi and a relative, Gul Begum.

Meanwhile, Ghaznikhel tehsil

Separately, two people were shot dead by armed men in the Bittani tribal subdivision of Lakki on Thursday night, the police said on Friday.

They said the victims identified as Waliullah and Zahidullah were attacked when they were transporting bricks in a tractor-trolley from Chechandi area to Landi Adam Khan Tajbikhel.

They said the attackers, including Akram Beg, Diljan and Idrees Khan, fled the scene after committing the double murder.

A complainant, Amanullah, who remained unhurt in the attack, told the Wargarey police that transporting bricks to an under-construction veterinary hospital in Chechandi area led to the killing of his brother, Waliullah and a relative, Zahidullah by armed men.

The police said the bodies were handed over to relatives after autopsy in a local hospital.

The police registered a case against the killers and started an investigation.
