OKARA: Up to 14 gunmen killed a man by running him over with a tractor in Rajowal on Friday.

According to the police, Wajid and his elderly father, Attique Rehman, were on their farm when 14 assailants arrived on three tractors and forcefully began ploughing their land with an intention of occupying it.

When Attique attempted to prevent the suspects from encroaching on their agricultural land, they struck his body with rods. They placed Attique under the wheels of a tractor, leading to his death.

Wajid got registered a case with Hujra Shah Muqeem police against Naeem, Sajid, Azam, Asif, Sajidur Rehman, Ziaur Rehman, Khadim, Umair, Munir, Abu Hurera, Waqas, Azam, Abid, and Waqas Ali.

The case was registered under sections 302, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which correspond to murder, rioting and unlawful assembly.
