Maryam says ‘real conspiracy’ happened when Imran removed COAS as DG ISI in 2019

“The conspiracy started when the Chief of Army Staff [Asim Munir] was removed as DG ISI and he (Imran) brought Lt Gen (retd) Faiz [Hamid] because he (Imran) wanted to stay in power for ten years,” PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz Sharif has alleged while addressing a charged crowd in Punjab’s Vehari.

“He (Imran) even opposed changing the DG ISI (Gen Faiz) due to this,” she added.
