LAHORE, Jan 22: Tayyab Siddiqui clinched the CAS Veterans golf championship, played over nine holes, with a net score of 29 at Lahore Garrison Golf and Country Club on Sunday. The Central Air Command, Intra-Command Trophy was won by PAF Base Rafiqui.

In the seniors category, Shahid Latif and Saleem Tariq finished first and second for net prizes with scores of 75 and 89, while first and second gross were picked up by Tanvir Mehmood Ahmed and Inamullah Khan with scores of 67 and 77.

In the amateur category, Amjad, Asif and Umar picked up the first, second and third net prizes by scoring 67, while first, second and third gross were taken away by Faisal, Tahir Ehsan and Nafay by scoring 83, 83 and 84. The prize for the longest drive was won by Atif by hitting 313 yards, nearest to pin by Qadeer Hashmi and maximum birdies by Zeshan.

In the veterans category, Tayyab Siddiqui, Muhammad Shamim and Gultaseb won first, second and third net prizes by scoring 29, 32 and 33, while the prizes for first, second and third gross went to Safdar Mehmood, Qayyum Hajazi and Anwar Mehmood with a score of 40, 40 and 41.

The longest drive was hit by Imtiaz Khan and closest to pin by Safdar. Maximum birdies were scored by Muzammil Saeed

In the Pakistan Army Club Members’ category, Asif Nadeem and Qasim won the prizes for first and second net, whereas first and second gross were picked up by Nadeem and Aamir Goraya.—APP
