SWABI, Jan 22: The suspension of telegrph and telex services has created problems for users because modern communication services have not been provided at customer service centres of the PTCL. The federal government declared on Jan 7 that telegram and telex services would no longer be available in the country due to provision of modern communication system to the people.

“However, ground realities are different,” said some of the people who had been utilizing the less expensive and easy services.

They told this correspondent that the government might provide modern communication services in Islamabad and other big cities of the country but probably not in small cities like Swabi.

They said the government had deprived them of an easy service.

The PTCL authorities said that the facilities still existed with them but they were not providing the services to people.
