TOBA TEK SINGH: A young girl was axed to death by her brother over suspicion about her character at Chak 414-JB in Gojra tehsil on Sunday.

In the first information report (FIR) registered by Nawan Lahore police under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the complaint, Ghulam Muhammad (father of the victim and the suspect) said he was not home when his son Babar Ali saw a man going out his house.

He said that his son inquired from his daughter, Safia Bibi (20), who was alone at the house, about the man he had seen leaving the place, but she could not satisfy him.

At this, Babar got enraged and attacked his sister with an axe, killing her on the spot.

Police have arrested the suspect and started investigation.

KILLED: A young farmer was murdered on Sunday at Chak 712-GB, Kamalia over a land dispute.

According to Kamalia Sadar police, Ali Shan Chadhar (22) of Chak 710-GB and his two relatives, Ramzan and Barkat Ali, were working in their fields when their rival Shahbaz Ahmad of Chak 712-GB, along with his accomplices, attacked them with clubs and injured them.

During the attack, Shahbaz took out a pistol and shoot Ali Shan, who was rushed to Kamalia tehsil headquarter (THQ) hospital where he succumbed to his bullet injury.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the suspects.
