Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has criticised Imran Khan’s statement about Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir, calling it a “reflection of his diseased and obsessive mindset.”

In a tweet today, the premier defended Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) director general and the army chief, stating that they were being maligned for “unearthing the corruption syndicate of Niazi.”

The prime minister also reaffirmed the nation’s support for its armed forces and warned against any attempts to undermine them, saying that “we stand with our forces and will thwart any nefarious attempts to malign and undermine their hard-earned respect and dignity.”
