KASUR, Jan 20: Police on Friday arrested three members of a gang after an encounter near Khuddian and recovered stolen goods worth Rs1 million from their possession. Police sources said on a tip off that some people were cutting electricity cable from a pole, Kasur DPO constituted a special team to arrest them. When the police party reached the spot, the criminals who were loading stolen wire, rail paddles and telephone cable, etc, on to a truck, opened fire. Police returned the fire and arrested three of them after an encounter while 10 of their accomplices made good their escape, he added.

However, after an encounter, police arrested three of the criminals whereas ten of accomplices managed their escape.
