The new HPT having frequency level of 1332 KHZ has been installed by the engineering team of the PBC while German engineers extended help at the initial stage of the ‘solid state (digital)’ technology installation, at a cost of Rs 30.50 million.

The project completed in a record period of six months will help the state-controlled media in joining mainstream of advanced news network and current affairs to keep the listeners informed of global developments.

The improved frequency of the Lahore HPT will benefit listeners within the radius of 100 miles in day time while 280 miles at night. —APP
