MUZAFFARGARH: A man killed his wife for honour and injured his mother-in-law here on Monday evening at Basti Mandoren near Meharpur Chowk, some 20 kilometres away from the city area.

According to locals, Mohammed Yamin allegedly fired on his wife, Zahra Bibi, and mother-in-law Nasreen Mai over some domestic dispute.

The Muzaffargarh rescue control room received a call about a murder and rushed to the spot.

The rescue staff confirmed death of Zahra Bibi and injuries to another woman who was shifted to Muzaffargarh DHQ Hospital.

Shah Jamal police have registered a case against Yamin and shifted the body for autopsy.

Police said Yamin suspected his wife of loose morals and he killed her.

ACCIDENT: A youth was run over and killed by the vehicle of Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan leader Barrister Yusuf Hinjra here on Monday in Kot Addu area.

Reports said seminary student Muhammad Abdullah (17) was on his way home by a bike when he was run over by the vehicle of the barrister.

Deen Panah police have registered a case. Yusuf Hinjra is relative of ex-MNA Malik Sultan Mahmood Hinjra.
