KARACHI: Strong gusts of dusty winds blew across the metropolis under the ongoing westerly wave that caused light to moderate rains in different parts of Sindh on Tuesday, the Met Office said.

Officials said that the city witnessed a fresh weather trend under the influence of the westerly disturbance that is likely to stay for another day or two.

They said that the city weather will likely to remain cloudy without any chances of rain.

“Under the same influence we witnessed rain today [Tuesday] in upper Sindh areas,” said Sardar Sarfaraz of the Pakistan Meteorological Department. “We don’t see any major rainfall in Sindh areas on Wednesday or onwards under the current influence. The system has moved away from Sindh.”

However, he said that the upcountry areas still got chances of receiving moderate to heavy rains under the current system.

The Met Office recorded the maximum temperature of the city at 35.3 degrees Celsius with 35 per cent humidity.
