Four DPOs transferred after ECP approval

LAHORE: The Punjab government has transferred four district police officers (DPOs) here on Wednesday.

The officials were reshuffled after seeking approval from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) which had imposed a ban on the transfers and postings.

According to the notification, Pakpatan DPO Hassan Iqbal has been transferred and posted as Sialkot DPO vice Zeeshan Raza who has been transferred and made official on special duty.

Punjab Counter Terrorism Department Lahore Operations SSP Tariq Walait has been transferred and posted as Pakpattan DPO while PC Lahore Battalion Commander Ahmad Nawaz Shah has been transferred and posted as Muzafargarh DPO against an existing vacancy.

Separately, the Punjab police have submitted a request to the ECP for approval for the transfer of 23 deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) across the province.
