KARACHI: Infor­mation Minister Sharjeel Memon on Tuesday said that free media played a key role in strengthening democracy and rule of law in the country.

Speaking at an Iftar dinner hosted for journalists at the Karachi Press Club (KPC), he said the PPP and the media had always jointly struggled for the cause of democracy, rule of law, freedom of expression and public rights in the country.
