SWABI: An unidentified thief looted an outlet of a cellular company in the Shewa Adda area of Razaar tehsil at the time of afternoon prayers on Saturday, the police said.

Kalu Khan police station officials said the staff of Telenor office had just locked the glass door and did not pull down the main shutter, providing an opportunity to the thief to break locks and force his way into the office.

They said CCTV footage showed that a youth in his 20s breaking the glass door lock, opening drawers with an instrument and taking away money.

They said a total of Rs350,000 cash was looted.

SHO Kalu Khan police station said an FIR had been registered against the unknown thief.

INJURED MAN DIES: A man, who was seriously injured in an attack on a car a week ago, succumbed to injuries at the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, on Saturday, taking the number of people killed in the firing incident to four. Three people were killed on the spot. The fourth injured was taken to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor, and later shifted to the Peshawar’s major hospital due to his serious condition.

The deceased identified as Rukhsar Ali hailed from the Swabi city.

The cause of the incident was an old enmity.

BODY FOUND: Body of a man, who left home after Iftar in Maini village of Topi on Friday, was found in the fields on Saturday, the police said.

Munsif Ali, a brother of the deceased, Haroon Khan, said he was informed by locals that the body of his brother was lying in the fields. He said his brother was shot from a close range. The police registered an FIR against unidentified killer(s).
