MIRPURKHAS, Jan 31: A fertilizer dealer was booked by the Kunri police for selling spurious fertilizers on Thursday.

The assistant director, Agriculture, Umerkot, Satidan Singh Sodho, lodged an FIR that he had taken some samples of the fertilizers being sold at the Kamran Fertilizer Agency, near Gur Mandi, Kunri town, for checking. When these samples were sent to the laboratory they were found to be sub-standard. It was learnt that dealer Abdul Rehman was involved in selling spurious fertilizers.

A case has been registered under section 13-A of the Sindh Fertilizer Act against the dealer with the Kunri police.

POSTPONED: A meeting of the district council was postponed on Thursday till Feb 6 due to lack of quorum.

The meeting was held with convener Nawab Younus Talpur in the chair.
