MUZAFFARGARH: The Kotaddu police traced four students of a seminary on Monday, who went missing in Daira Din Pannah town of Kotaddu district on Sunday.

Complainant Abdul Aziz, the caretaker of the seminary, told the Daira Din Pannah police that students - Muhammad Kashif, Muhammad Kamran, Muhammad Waseem and Shahzaib - aged 10 to 13 years, were enrolled in the Siddiqui Madrassa.

They all went out to meet their parents, but went missing. The station house officer registered a case and started an investigation.

A team headed by the Kotaddu sub-divisional police officer traced the four children within a day. Using modern policing techniques, the police found two students roaming in Kot Sultan in the Layyah district.

With their help, the police traced two other children and handed them over to their families.

The parents of the children expressed thanks to the police, while the police said they would investigate the incident in light of the children’s statements.

ACCIDENT: Two people died and seven other passengers were injured seriously in a car-rickshaw collision on the Chenab River bridge at Head Muhammedwala on Monday.

Rescue 1122 sources said that the collision left Manzoor Hussain and Sakina Mai, both rickshaw passengers, dead at the scene, while those injured were Sofia, Gulzaran, Sonia, Samina, Alisha and Waseem, also rickshaw passengers.
