Alam Noor Wazir of Madina Colony had reported to the cantonment police that his newborn baby girl was taken away by an unidentified woman wearing a veil.

District police officer Abdul Rauf Babar Qaiserani had taken notice of the incident and formed a special team under DSP city circle Iqbal Khan Baloch for the immediate recovery of the infant.

The DSP along with SHOs of the city and cantonment police stations, with the help of CCTV cameras footage, recovered the abducted newborn from Himat area, a suburb of the city, and arrested the couple.

The arrested woman, in her statement, told the police that she had kidnapped the newborn as they did not have a child.
