LAHORE: Diamond Paints and FG Polo booked semi-final spots from Pool ‘B’ in the Second Takmeel Square President of Pakistan Polo Cup with contrasting victories at the Jinnah Polo Fields here on Tuesday.

Five goals from Chulo Corti and a brace from Ahmed Ali Tiwana saw Diamond Paints romp past DS Polo 8-4. Hissam Ali Haider scored three goals for DS Polo, who had held the winners at 2-2 after the first chukker before falling behind.

FG Polo rode on three goals by Raul Laplacette and a double by Mian Abbas Mukhtar to edge past Master Paints 5-3½. Master Paints, who had a half-goal handicap and led 3½-3 early in the fourth and final chukker, saw all their goals scored by Manuel Crispo.

Diamond Paints will clash with BN Polo for a spot in the final on Friday, when FG Polo face Mas­ter Paints/Newage Cables in the other semi-final.
