GUJRANWALA, Jan 10: An industrialist’s, son who was kidnapped for ransom some three days ago, was recovered by the police with the arrest of one of the culprits. Reports said industrialist Sajjad Ahmad’s son, Faizan, 4, was kidnapped by some people when he was playing in the street. The kidnappers, later, demanded Rs1 million ransom for his release.

The DPO constituted an investigation team comprising three SHOs, led by Saddar circle ASP, for the recovery of the minor.

Guided by information that the child had been confined to a place at Kolo Tarer village (Hafizabad), the police raided the house and recovered him after arresting one of the kidnappers, who was identified as Ahmad.

A case has been registered against the gangsters.

KILLED: A commission agent of Naushera Virkan grain market was killed and his colleague injured in a road accident on Tuesday.

Reports said Naveedul Hassan, along with his colleague Nawaz, was on going somewhere by motorcycle when a rashly-driven wagon hit them. Naveed died on the spot while the pillion rider suffered injuries and was immediately transported to the civil hospital in critical condition.
