Mahash Club win

PESHAWAR, Jan 9: Mahash Club Bannu defeated Al-Quresh Club Dera Ismail Khan after penalty shoot-out in the All-Pakistan Khushal Khan Khattak Memorial football tournament played at Latamber, District Karak on Monday.

Al-Quresh Club twice came close to breaking the deadlock but centre forward Fayyaz and right winger Amjad wasted golden opportunities shooting wide. The first half ended with neither side able to score.

In second-half Al-Quresh Club were awarded a penalty kick but it was Mahash Club Bannu goalkeeper Alam Khan made a brilliant diving save and the two teams ended up scoreless in the regulation time.

In the ensuing penalty shootout Mahash Club converted all their five penalty kicks while Al-Quresh missed one to lose 4-5.—APP
