GUJRANWALA: Four schoolchildren, including three brothers, were killed while returning from school at Saruki Cheema on Tuesday over an old enmity while a passer-by and his minor son were injured in the attack.

Sources said Shabriz Nasir, Haseeb Nasir and Gulrez Nasir were returning home from school on a motorcycle along with their friend, Bilal Faiz, when unidentified suspects ambushed them and opened fire on them. All four of them died on the spot.

Rozi Khan, a passer-by, and his seven-year-old son, Sulaiman, were also seriously injured in the firing. Both the injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital, Wazirabad.

According to the police officials, the incident looked like result of an old enmity between the three brothers’ family and another group. They said many people from the both sides have been killed in the past. Ahmednagar police have shifted the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem.
