RAHIM YAR KHAN: A high-level meeting of the ‘Tri-border police’ decided the strategy to eliminate the criminals in Kacha area to protect life and property of the people and restore peace.

South Punjab Additional Inspector General of Police Maqsoodul Hassan said this in a press release issued on Monday after the meeting that was attended by senior police officers from Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. It was held in the office of Rahim Yar Khan District Police Office (DPO).

RYK DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal briefed the meeting about the police measures to maintain peace in Kacha area and the future strategy to deal with the criminal elements hiding there.

Bahawalpur Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rai Babar Saeed, Dera Ghazi Khan RPO retired Capt Sajjad Hasan, Larkana Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh, Rajanpur DPO Mehr Nasir Syal, Dera Bugti Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) retired Ft Lt Attaul Rehman, Kashmore SSP Irfan Samu, Bhong Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shahzeb Chachar and other senior officers attended the meeting.

The officers discussed strategies being used in the police operations against the criminals in Kacha area.

ASP Chachar informed the meeting about the police operations against the criminal elements in Kacha area and the performance of the ‘anti-honey trap cell’ that operates against those using women to lure people and kidnap them.

The officers agreed to further promote the mutual cooperation between the police of the three provinces to protect life and property of the people and eliminate the robbers in Kacha area. Meanwhile, South Punjab IGP Maqsoodul Hassan reviewed the security arrangements at the Chinese camps and other important facilities in the region and ordered to further tighten them to deal with terrorists.

He awarded certificates and cash rewards to the officials who performed their duties efficiently and said the morale of the police officials posted in Kacha area was high and measures were being taken for their welfare.
