LAHORE: Remington Pharma’s Hamza Mawaz Khan and Diamond Paints’ Nico Roberts heroics led their teams into the main final of the third Allama Iqbal Polo Tournament here at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Friday.

Hamza top scored with five goal as Remington Pharma dominated the whole goal to thrash Master Paints/Newage Cables 10-1. Ahmed Bilal Riaz and Basel Faisal Khokhar scored the remaining goals for the winners.

The other semi-final was more competitive but Roberts’ six-goal tally and Mir Shoaib Ahmed’s hat-trick proved enough for Diamond Paints as they downed SQ Seagold Polo 10-6. Lt Col Omer Minhas also recorded one goal for Diamond Paints.

For the losing side, Raja Jalal Arslan fought well and got four goals while team-mates

Omer Asjad Malhi and Shiraz Qureshi scored one goal apiece.

The subsidiary final will be played between FG/Din Polo and Platinum Homes/Master Paints at 1:30 pm on Sunday.
