KARACHI: Ghulaman-e-Abbas School defeated Habib Public School 2-1 in penalty shootout to win the Inter-school Hockey Championship here at the KHA Sports Complex on Wednesday.

The final ended in a goalless draw that followed in a penalty shootout.

Wajahat Ali and Muneer Ahmed converted a stroke each for the winners while Akber Ali scored once for the losers. Muneer was later adjudged player of the final.

Earlier, GBSS Malir carved out a 3-2 victory over Korangi Academy, also on shootout, after a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time in the playoff to finish third.

Wajahat ended the event with a tally of 14 goals to win top-scorer award.
