Four gas company workers abducted

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Four personnel of an oil and gas exploration company have been kidnapped from Miramshah area of North Waziristan tribal district.

Sources said that the kidnapped personnel worked for Marri Petroleum and were abducted from Anghar village on the outskirts of Miramshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan district.

These employees were conducting a survey in the area and were kidnapped by unidentified people while returning to their base late on Friday.

The sources said that the abducted personnel, identified as Faisal Raza, Mohammad Ejaz, Sagheer and Maqbool, were non-local. Further details of the incident are not available.

Marri Petroleum has witnessed kidnapping and murder of its personnel in the past.
