FAISALABAD, Jan 6: Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool dispatched 75 trucks of relief goods to Rawalakot, Mansehra and Muzaffarabad for the earthquake victims on Friday. The relief goods, comprising 15,000 sets of bedding, were arranged by local industrialists, businessmen and philanthropists.

The governor was informed that 1,351 trucks of relief goods had so far been sent to the quake-affected people of Azad Kashmir and the NWFP.

As many as 565 trucks containing dry ration, 100 trucks of tents and 565 trucks loaded with blankets and quilts and 20 trucks containing medicines had been dispatched.

The governor while talking to businessmen lauded the contribution of the Faisalabad people for continuing the process of sending relief goods to quake-hit areas.

He expressed his hope that philanthropists of Faisalabad would actively engage in the rehabilitation task after the passage of winter.

It was a good sign that philanthropists would carry out Sunnat-i-Ibrahimi in the quake-affected areas, he said.

KILLED: Two motorcyclists were killed when their bike hit a donkey-cart in Khurrianwala here on Friday.
