10Pearls University, which organises professional development programmes and trainings, has now launched 10Pearls Connect — a networking event that brings together professionals from the tech sector to discuss emerging trends and encourage collaboration.

The first edition was held at 10Pearls Karachi office on January 14. Similar events will later be held in Islamabad and Lahore.

In a press release, 10Pearls said the invite-only event was attended by over 200 people from the tech sector, including community leaders, startup founders, executives and students. It featured speaker sessions, panel discussions and fireside chats.

The event started with a session on Inclusivity as a Game Changer in Tech that featured INNOVentures Global CEO Nida Athar. Other sessions included Community Building in the Digital Age and The Fintech Evolution.

Xord Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer Mohammad Salman Khan, 10Pearls Engineering Director Mohammad Aamir and Raptr Games CEO Imran Khan held a fireside chat, titled Emerging Technologies: Creating New Landscapes, that discussed NFTs and virtual reality economics and its impact on society.

The 10Pearls Connect event ended with a panel discussion The Ripple Impact Theory: Ecosystem Makers on the Way Forward that discussed industry leaders’ responsibilities and emphasised on expanding the community, promoting exclusivity and driving change.
