Parliamentary delegation from Belgium due today

ISLAMABAD: On the special invitation of the government, a Belgian parliamentary delegation led by Allessia Clots, senator and chairperson of Pakistan-Belgium Parliamentary Friendship Group, will be visiting Pakistan from January 16 to 21.

A statement issued by the National Assembly said the visit would serve as a tool to strengthen ties between the two nations and further strengthen their parliamentary cooperation. Furthermore, new avenues of cooperation in trade and business would be explored.

Besides meeting Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf, the delegation would also hold meetings with the Senate chairman, convener parliamentary task force on SDGs and chairperson Women Parliamentary Caucus.

The delegation would call on the governor Punjab in Lahore besides visiting Belgium company, Texpak, in Lahore.

Later, the delegation would visit Karachi where it will meet the chief minister of Sindh.
