Pokemon Scarlet and Violet making major changes

There are some interesting changes to the pair of exclusive games that are the fastest-selling Pokemon titles to date.

Game Freak has revealed that ranked battles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for Series 2 will allow the use of Paradox Pokemon in single and double battles. And there’s no limit on the number you can have in your party so you can field an entire team of Paradox Pokemon if you so choose. The series is set to begin on February 1 and run until March 31.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are both available via Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED.

Dave Bautista’s last Marvel movie

Dave Bautista is one of the best actors to make the leap from the wrestling world. In his work with Denis Villeneuve, especially, Bautista has been given the chance to demonstrate his range. He is best known as Drax in the MCU, but he hopes to be moving beyond the grey make-up soon. He has worked in the Bond movie Spectre, Blade Runner 2049, Hotel Artemis, Army of the Dead, Dune,Glass Onion, etc.

Bautista has mixed feelings for the character Drax; “I’m so grateful for Drax. I love him. But there’s a relief [that it’s over]. It wasn’t all pleasant. It was hard playing that role. The makeup process was beating me down. And I just don’t know if I want Drax to be my legacy — it’s a silly performance, and I want to do more dramatic stuff.”

War of the Rohirrim, the new Lord of the Rings movie

The new Lord of the Rings movie is called War of the Rohirrim, and is set hundreds of years before the events seen in Peter Jackson’s original trilogy, effectively making it a prequel movie. War of the Rohirrim is currently scheduled for 12 April 2024.

The new Lord of the Rings movie will be an anime movie and is a totally separate entity from Amazon Prime’s Rings of Power fantasy series. War of the Rohirrim will tell the story of Rohan and its war against Dunland, set two hundred years before Frodo’s journey to destroy the One Ring.

It will focus on the legendary king of Rohan Helm Hammerhand and his defence of Helm’s Deep against the Dunlending attackers. It is based on the stories told in Tolkien’s appendices to The Lord of the Rings books.
