Man stabs sister for ‘honour’

SUKKUR: A man stab­bed his sister to death in the name of ‘honour’ at his home in Acchiyoon Qubbiyoon locality near Rohri on the outskirts of Sukkur on Tuesday.

Police officials said that Ghulam Haider Solangi attacked his sister Fozia, 22, with a knife and kept stabbing her till she died. He suspected her of bringing slur on the family name, they said.

They said that when they heard about the crime, they rushed to the area and immediately shifted the girl’s body to taluka hospital.

The suspect had been detained and investigation into the murder was under way, they said.

They said that the hospital handed over the body to heirs after completion of post mortem examination.
