PESHAWAR: Unidentified persons hurled a grenade on the house of a nephew of MNA Nasir Musazai here on Sunday. The inmates, however, remained unhurt in the attack, the police said.

“House of Mr Taimur, who is nephew of MNA Nasir Musazai, was targeted with a hand grenade. However, all his family members remained unhurt,” a police official said, adding that a search operation had been launched in the area to trace the culprits.

Officials of the Inqilab police station said that a case would be registered with the Counter-Terrorism Department.

Mr Musazai, who was elected MNA during the 2018 general elections on the Pakistan Tekreek-i-Insaf ticket, has announced joining Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl.

Recently, Mr Musazai had told reporters that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had sent him a message to take care as his life was in danger.
