PESHAWAR, Jan 4: Seven people including five women of a family died of suffocation when a fire broke out in a house at Jankot village in Central Kurram tribal agency on Tuesday. People of the area informed that the blaze caused heavy smoke which suffocated the seven including Khayal Gul, his two wives, his son, daughter and a guest along with her daughter.

According to official sources the cause of the fire was power short-circuit.

The sources said people of the area rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire, but by that time the damage had already been done.
