ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday launched a bus service for families that would ply from Bhara Kahu to Murree for one month.

The service was inaugurated at the Bhara Kahu terminal of the Metro Bus Service.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Hanif Abbasi and CDA Chairman Mohammad Usman.

Sources said the bus service would operate for one month to facilitate tourists. This week, after every one-and-a-half hours, a bus will depart while from next week, buses will be available only on weekends.

According to the CDA, tourists using the service will pay a fare of Rs100 for one side while children and citizens over 65 years of age will be able to use the facility free of cost.

The CDA, through its contractor Faisal Movers which is operating its metro bus service, has started the service. The first bus departed from Bhara Kahu to Lower Topa on Tuesday.
