CHAGAI: Balochistan Levies Force arrested four people soon after they allegedly robbed a shop in the Yak Mach town of Chagai district on Friday night.

According to Chagai Deputy Commissioner Hussain Baloch, the robbers used a minor boy for the crime.

Soon after receiving information, Levies force chased the robbers and arrested them, Mr Baloch said, adding that they had a stolen car, looted cash and a pistol with several rounds.

Official sources said the minor boy was sent to a child protection unit in Quetta.

Dalbandin Assistant Commissioner Abdul Basit Buzdar told Dawn that the gang of robbers comprised “hardcore criminals” and was involved in street robberies and carjacking in Chagai, Noshki and Panjgur. One of the arrested was also nominated in a murder case of a person belonging to Punjab.
