LAHORE: The three-day bridal extravaganza concluded here on Sunday after presenting unique, experimental and traditional bridal fashion trends.

The day’s proceedings started with a special segment by the title sponsor featuring a dance group by The Colony. ‘Show One’ on the third and last day of the bridal couture week kicked off with Shamsha Hashwani’s ‘Jaan-i-Adaa’. The collection represented the heart and soul that the label is known for and imbued its essence. Husband-wife duo, supermodel Sadaf Kanwal and actor Shehroz Sabzwari, walked for the label.

This was followed by Ahsan Menswear’s ‘Abi-Rawan’, featuring long over-lapping jackets with a sash tied around the waist, pleated style pants, Ahsan’s signature hand-tied turbans and silk threaded shawls.

Sheeba Kapadia showcased ‘Suroor’, a meticulously designed collection with a gorgeous colour palette ranging from majestic pastel shades to shimmery gold and regal reds. Her show-stopper was model and actor Rabia Butt.

This was followed Shakeels by Zeeshan and Danish’s ‘Jhil Mil’, who presented a luxe formal collection. All the pieces in the collection were meticulously handcrafted and every tiny detail was embellished delicately with pure zardozi in a whimsically colour pallet. The lively Saheefa Jabbar Khattak walked for the brand.

Humayun Alamgir was up next to present his latest menswear collection, ‘The Red Carpet Line’, featuring bold and high-end tuxedos made from different velvets and embossed fabrics with handwork and a daring colour palette. Comedian Tabish Hashmi and Umar Alam closed the show for Humayun Alamgir, while singing sensation Kaifi Khalil performed during the show.

‘Show One’ of the final day was concluded by Mehdi. His collection titled ‘Freedom’ was inspired by the desert landscape and its inhabitants.

Supermodel Mehreen Syed closed the show for Mehdi.

‘Show Two’ of the third day featured a solo show by veteran designer extraordinaire Rizwan Beyg, a recipient of the Tamgah-i-Imtiaz last year for his services for rural development and women empowerment under the Bunyaad initiative. His collection, titled ‘Jäshn’, was entirely embellished by rural women trained under Bunyaad in various techniques and styles of embroidery, and was homage to the hard work and dedication of these women. The grand finale by Rizwan Beyg featured the stunning actor Sana Javed.
