PESHAWAR, Jan 2: The provincial health department is reviewing the autonomy status of all teaching and district headquarter (DHQ) hospitals to improve health care facilities.

In this regard a two-day workshop has been scheduled for next month in the city to deliberate on the recommendations of a recently conducted evaluation of teaching hospitals’ autonomy.

According to a press release issued on Monday, GTZ, a German technical cooperation agency, was conducting an evaluation study of the teaching hospitals’ autonomy.

A team of three international consultants visited the teaching and DHQ hospitals and rural health centres.
