KASUR: The police arrested two persons on Wednesday for displaying weapons and liquor on social media.

The Ganda Singh Police arrested Shad, alias Shadi, who posted a video on the TikTok social media site in which he is seen keeping empty bottles of liquor and soft drinks on a table. The police said they recovered 30 bottles of liquor from him.

The police also arrested Nawazish Ali of Azhar Colony for displaying weapons in TikTok footage. The police also recovered a pistol from him.

The police, however, did not comment about other people also seen in the videos. The police also shared the clips with journalists through a social media site.

CASE RESOLVED: A man who was found dead two weeks ago was killed by his son and elder brother in the limits of Changa Manga police.

The police said on Wednesday that on Nov 29, they found 42-year-old Javed Iqbal dead at his house in village Chakoki. The complainant, Zahid Iqbal, the elder brother of the deceased, alleged unidentified people killed him.

During the course of the investigation, the police arrested Shahid, son of the deceased, and Zahid, complainant, who confessed to killing Iqbal to grab his land.

In another case, rivals shot at and injured brothers Rashid and Sajid over a property dispute at village Rakh Blair in the limits of Sarai Mughal police on Wednesday. The police shifted the injured to the Pattoki THQ Hospital and started an investigation.
