ISLAMABAD: National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik has acknowledged the rescue and relief efforts of International Rescue Committee (IRC) in flood-hit areas.
He was talking to Country Director IRC Shabnam Baloch who called on him on Friday.
Lt Gen Malik emphasised on laying out a comprehensive response model for donors and international as well as local NGOs for well-coordinated and tangible outcomes of relief process.
He highlighted the upcoming NDMA’s public declaration to indicate contours of future disaster management plan in Pakistan after consultation with key stakeholders.
