LAHORE: In a one-sided match, Iran defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 to record their second straight victory on the third day of the Central Asian Volleyball Champ­ionship here at the Punjab Sports Board’s Gymnasium Hall on Saturday.

After Iran comfortably grabbed the first two sets with ease, Sri Lanka gave them tough time in the third but their efforts weren’t enough as Iran triumphed 25-15, 25-8, 29-27.

Iran, one of the best teams in Asia, won their opening match of the five-nation cha­m­pionship against Afgha­nis­tan also with a 3-0 scoreline.
