Probe into death of woman begins

KARACHI, Dec 31: The district and sessions judge of Hyderabad, Mr Zaheeruddin Leghari, has been appointed as inquiry officer to conduct judicial inquiry into death of Indian national Kanwal Devi.

Ms Devi was found dead in the Darul Aman Hyderabad.

All concerned people have been informed to appear before the inquiry officer to record their statement.

The district and sessions judge has fixed Jan 4, 2006 as the date for recording statements.—PPI
