Bishop condemns honour killings

LAHORE, Dec 30: The Church of Pakistan Moderator, Bishop of Lahore Dr Alexander John Malik, has condemned honour killings and described the acts as indicative of a barbaric attitude towards life.

Condemning the recent murder of three daughters by their father in Multan, the bishop said in a statement issued here on Friday that cultures and thinking encouraging honour killings required to be curbed.

He called upon the intelligentsia and sections of society to struggle against inhuman concepts so that society could get rid of ignorance and barbarity. —Reporter
