TOBA TEK SINGH: Three members of a family riding a motorcycle died and another was injured on Friday at Jhang in a bus-motorcycle collision near Shah Jewana Mandi Mor.

Zafar Iqbal, his mother Musarrat Parveen and sister Sahiba Bibi died instantly, while his brother Ghulam Raza was wounded. Rescue 1122 shifted him to the Shah Jewna Rural Health Centre.

A Jhang police press release said driver Nazir Ahmad was arrested and that the driving licencing branch had been told to revoke his driving licence for life.

Also, near the model bazaar in Faisalabad, Tasleem Bibi died and her husband Muhammad Afzal was injured when a mini-truck hit their motorcycle. Afzal was rushed to the Allied Hospital.

Also in Faisalabad, five labourers were seriously injured when a truck hit a tractor-trolley laden with wheat husk near Abdullahpur Canal Chowk.

The trolley turned over, and all five people sitting on top of it were wounded. They were rushed to the Allied Hospital. They were identified as Maqbool, Ijaz, Tariq, Ali Raza and Ishaw, all from Gojra.

VISIT: Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh visited the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Complex on Friday and appreciated the overall arrangements made by the bureau for the betterment of children.

He also distributed school bags among students. He announced the installation of a water filtration plant and asked the chief executive officer of health to arrange a doctor for the weekly checkup of children. He said the children would be included in the sports events.

He said permanent resident children would be imparted technical training in different trades.
