DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two persons were killed when assailants opened fire on a car near New Sabzi Mandi in the limits of Saddar police station here on Wednesday.

The police identified the deceased as Dost Mohammad, 45, and Izzat Khan, 38, belonging to Mehsud tribe.

Another tribesman, Noor Mohammad, 69, was injured in the incident.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot soon after receiving the information about the incident and shifted the bodies and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.

In another incident, a man was killed and his two brothers were injured when a motorcycle they were travelling on collided with a van, also in the limits of Saddar police station. Said Rasool, 40, died on the spot, while his brothers, Ramzan and Haji, were injured.

The police and rescue teams shifted the deceased and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital.

The Saddar police registered a case on the report of the injured persons and started further investigation.
