Tribal elder gunned down in Dera Murad Jamali

DERA MURAD JAMALI: A tribal elder was gunned down by unknown attackers in the Bolan Pass area of Kachhi district on Monday.

Levies officials said Sardar Muhammad Khan Banglani was passing through the Pinjara Bridge when armed men opened fire on his car. He was killed on the spot.

His body was moved to the district hospital in Dhadar for autopsy. Meanwhile, hundreds of men from the Banglani tribe reached the site after receiving the news about the killing.

The officials said the cause of the killing was not known so far; however, an investigation has been launched into the attack.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Assembly member Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind, who is the head of Rind tribe, strongly condemned the killing and demanded the provincial government take notice.
